According to the Yoga Sutras, holistic health is a state of equanimity and harmony achieved through a complete, integrated practice of the eight limbs of Ashtanga Yoga. Dimensions of holistic health in the Yoga Sutras
Physical: Achieved through asana (postures) and kriyas (cleansing practices) to maintain the physical body.
Mental and Emotional: Cultivated through pranayama (breath control), pratyahara (withdrawal of the senses), and dharana (concentration) to balance the mind and emotions.
