Reading 1: Is 2:1-5
The word that Isaiah, the son of Amoz, saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem.

And in the last days, the mountain of the house of the Lord will be prepared at the summit of the mountains, and it will be exalted above the hills, and all the nations shall flow to it. And many peoples will go, and they will say: “Let us approach and ascend to the mountain of the Lord, and to the house of the God of Jacob. And he will teach us his ways, and we will walk in his paths.” For the law will go forth from Zion, and the Word of the Lord from Jerusalem. And he will judge the nations, and he will rebuke many peoples. And they shall forge their swords into plowshares, and their spears into sickles. Nation will not lift up sword against nation, neither will they continue to train for battle.

O house of Jacob, let us approach and walk in the light of the Lord.


Responsorial Psalm: Ps 122:1-2, 3-4b, 4cd-5, 6-7, 8-9
R. Let us go rejoicing to the house of the Lord.

I rejoiced at the things that were said to me: We shall go into the house of the Lord. Our feet were standing in thy courts, O Jerusalem.
R. Let us go rejoicing to the house of the Lord.

Jerusalem, which is built as a city, which is compact together. For thither did the tribes go up, the tribes of the Lord.
R. Let us go rejoicing to the house of the Lord.

The testimony of Israel, to praise the name of the Lord. Because their seats have sat in judgment, seats upon the house of David.
R. Let us go rejoicing to the house of the Lord.

Pray ye for the things that are for the peace of Jerusalem: and abundance for them that love thee. Let peace be in thy strength: and abundance in thy towers.
R. Let us go rejoicing to the house of the Lord.

For the sake of my brethren, and of my neighbors, I spoke peace of thee. Because of the house of the Lord our God, I have sought good things for thee.
R. Let us go rejoicing to the house of the Lord.


Alleluia: See Ps 80:4

Come and save us, LORD our God; Let your
face shine upon us, that we may be saved.

Gospel: Matthew 8:5-11
When Jesus entered Capernaum, a centurion approached, petitioning him, and saying, “Lord, my servant lies at home paralyzed and badly tormented.” And Jesus said to him, “I will come and heal him.” And responding, the centurion said: “Lord, I am not worthy that you should enter under my roof, but only say the word, and my servant shall be healed. For I, too, am a man placed under authority, having soldiers under me. And I say to one, ‘Go,’ and he goes, and to another, ‘Come,’ and he comes, and to my servant, ‘Do this,’ and he does it.” And, hearing this, Jesus wondered. And he said to those following him: “Amen I say to you, I have not found so great a faith in Israel. For I say to you, that many shall come from the east and the west, and they shall sit at table with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven.
