A successful test using manual (electronic) shutter control on the Panasonic mini DV 3-chip camcorder. Digital zoom approx. 50x and using the cheap solar film filter from 2017 solar eclipse. This time you can actually see some sunspots but not very sharp, but they are there. The 3 chips in this camera are tiny so being able to see them at all is amazing. With a decent glass filter and manual focus the spots should be more visible. The temperature was 110.3 degrees when taking the video. More tests with this amazing camera are needed.
