Dominique Lescott, Founder of Hairpopp

Dominique is a female tech entrepreneur who has an emotional connection with the advancement of her community. She is passionate about using the latest technology and digital media to empower and uplift the black economy. As a millennial and a business owner, one of her biggest qualities is networking and connecting people.

Hair Popp is an online marketplace for natural hair care products and accessories for customers with afro and curly hair.

Efua Akumanyi, Co-Founder / Head of Technology at Furnishful

Efua is a Software Developer with over 17 years experience. She has worked as a contractor in various fields including medical, legal, charity and e-commerce. She co-founded her business www.furnishful.co.uk in 2016, a website that helps people find items of furniture for their homes. She has a strong interest in all things tech, especially innovations that have very practical applications.

Melissa Wells, Founder of Women Like Me

Melissa has curated and executed on a number of projects and events including one of the most influential urban shows in the UK and the annual Artificial Intelligence Conference held at the Institute of Engineering and Technology. She has produced broadcast interviews and online content for the Cyber Security Research Institute and Future Intelligence podcasts reporting on the ramifications of technology for Resonance FM She is the founder of Women Like Me, a collective curated as a result of the lack of representation, support and progression for underrepresented groups within tech.

Marcia Brock, Project Director of SmartKid / SmartWorld

Marcia Brock, born September 1975, is a mother, partner and business lover, who was raised between England and Jamaica. She enjoys social media, impactful events along with creating memorable days. She loves IT and became a project director and has worked on projects to help the community, locally and internationally. I am a cancer and lupus survivor and manage a condition called EDS.
