♫LAS VEGAS, Top Gear (First Race BGM) NES 8-bit Arrangement - NintendoComplete

This is my arrangement of the first race theme ("Las Vegas") from Kemco's 1992 SNES racing game Top Gear. I have arranged it for native playback on NES hardware.

There's a lot of love out there for Top Gear, and so there should be. It's awesome. But how many of you guys remember the soundtrack better than the game itself? :D

This was a fun track to put together, especially because it's the first time I've ever done anything on the NES using PCM. I didn't go crazy with it, but those crispy, sharp drum samples definitely aren't your standard DPCM 1-bit effects. This would've never been practical for gameplay - it places far too much demand on the NES's CPU to do this with any sort of game logic running - but it is running on the stock 2A03 without any enhancement chips.
