Reporter Lauren Petty from NBC Chicago visited Richards High School to profile teacher Christina Kreil, her courage and perseverance, and her selection to U.S. Amputee Soccer Team.

The story features interviews with Mrs. Kreil, friend and colleague Lydia Loureiro, and new Principal Dr. MaLinda Majoch.

Mrs. Kreil and Team USA will travel in November to Colombia to compete in the inaugural World Cup. As she trains (she traveled to New Jersey this past weekend to train with her teammates) she also fights Metastatic Giant Cell Tumor, a disease with no known cure that required the amputation of a portion of her right leg.
