First Start & Ride - Ducati 900SS Bevel Restoration

Update - I carried out plenty of more work on the bike after this video. This was just the first ride after reinstalling the engine. It hadn't even been tuned yet, but was already vastly better than before. Check my channel for all the videos that follow this one., including one of Brook Henry dropping in to show me how to tune it.

Also be aware that I'm kicking the starter very gingerly because of the constant and painful kickbacks it used to give me. This is of course no longer the case.

After not having any success with my own efforts to resolve the rough running of this bike, I sent the engine off to Brook Henry for an investigation and rebuild. I couldn't be happier with the result.

The previous rebuild had been done by a professional mechanic, but not a genuine bevel specialist. It's clear to me now that it never ran properly even before I bought it, and my own efforts were always going to be in vain.

I'm very pleased that the engine now matches the work I've now also completed on the rest of the bike!
