GoPro FOV Comparison (with narration): Linear vs Wide vs SuperView

Описание к видео GoPro FOV Comparison (with narration): Linear vs Wide vs SuperView

As an action camera, GoPros are designed to capture as much of the scenery as possible. For that reason, the standard field of view (FOV) is very wide. In addition to the default Wide setting, GoPros have a super-wide setting called, appropriately enough, SuperView.

Both the Wide setting and SuperView setting introduce a certain amount of fisheye effect, where straight lines towards the edges become curved. For situations where this is unwelcome, GoPros offer a third setting called Linear view. Linear view is narrower and provides a perspective that is closer to what standard camera lenses produce.

In this video, I go for a walk around the streets of a small town in Thailand and illustrate the differences between the three fields of view.
