Baum revised "Animal Fairy Tales" just before his death in 1918. They showcase a darker, mature side, addressing social and psychological themes often absent from the Oz stories.

At Squeaky Books, we're revisiting many of the works of L.Frank Baum, illustrating stories which were published with little or no artwork. Animal Fairy Tales is a collection in a painterly style, lead by Bulgarian artist Zhestok Lupov.
