The average UFO enthusiast will likely find the beginning stages of disclosure to be a painfully slow series of carefully scripted, intentionally vague announcements from a group officials caught red-handed in a tangle of lies spanning decades. Why was a "UFO truth embargo" even initiated to begin with!?

"We lied to protect you. We weren't sure if you could handle the burden of knowing what we know. We didn't think you could handle the truth" they might say.

Well, it was never the government's place to decide which "truths" I would (or wouldn't) be able to handle in the first place!

While I seriously doubt that disclosure will lead to mass panic and civil unrest, I understand the wisdom of being delicate and taking things slowly.
