Meet Adrian Sbodio, who is the Postharvest Facility Manager at UC Davis's Mann Laboratory and Wickson Hall. With 14 years of experience alongside Dr. Trevor Suslow, a former director of the Postharvest Technology Center, he focuses on applied research in food safety, particularly on pathogens such as E. coli, Salmonella, and Listeria in fresh produce. His work bridges the gap between preharvest and postharvest safety through collaborations across various UC Davis departments. Adrian's research also encompasses produce quality, fungal infections, and innovative detection techniques, such as multispectral imaging, for early detection of infections. As a member of the UC Postharvest Research and Extension Center, he is dedicated to enhancing food safety and quality worldwide.
