Those three not-so-young men comprise the titular collective Boyz in the Wood. Evan “EVeryman” Goldberg is the lyricist/emcee. Brad “Bizness” Kendrick holds down the 1’s and 2’s as resident DJ. And Doug “D-Rock” Dunne? Only the best hype man/low level weed dealer the San Fernando Valley could offer. Though talented, the trio have yet to break into the music industry as a result they have been trudging forward in life in a much less "baller" respect than they expect.

Well, that’s until Evan’s Bubby falls off a cliff.

While blazing a white-knuckle roller blade ride through lethal canyon curves, Evan’s Bubby (grandmother) Eunice takes a wrong turn and tragically perishes. To Evan’s surprise, however, his fallen “homie” does him a major solid before reaching the fleshly crossroads: she leaves him her dope-ass crib nestled in the lavish Hollywood Hills.
Eminem said “You only need one shot/ Do not miss your chance to blow.” Now set up in Bubby’s pad and living large (or so they think), the aloof trio set their sights on doing just that. These Boyz plan to shock the world. And if not shock, then perplex.

Follow the misadventures of these clueless outsiders as they try to break into the rap game tackle the American dream: beats, rhymes and unmanageably inflated property taxes.
