The former Rogers Hotel in Wheeling was scheduled to go up for auction on Tuesday.

But bidding that was set to soar was put at a halt due to paperwork dating back to the 1970s.

There are still some outstanding tax liens that need to be completed before the auction can begin, according to realtor Rudy Kiko.

"It wasn't anything that my owner, the owner of the building, currently incurred. There were just some things that didn't get cleaned up on the title the last time he purchased it," Kiko said.

Featuring 65 rooms across six floors, a bar, and more, the most recent owner purchased it in 2005.
