Here’s Why YOU Should Care About Your Child’s Physical Activity

Описание к видео Here’s Why YOU Should Care About Your Child’s Physical Activity

In an era where technology surrounds us everywhere we go, it’s increasingly important to ensure that our children remain physically active and healthy. According to the Government of Canada, in 2016 and 2017, only ~40% of children in Canada aged 5-17 engaged in sufficient daily physical activity.

In this video, we explore the physical and mental health benefits as well as the social impacts associated with physical activity for children. We also offer tips on how to encourage your child to participate in physical activity and how to keep them safe while doing so.

This video was made by McMaster students Apameh Golkar, Danielle Dagher, Gagan Dhami, and Roaa Hussam in collaboration with the McMaster Demystifying Medicine Program.
