1: Pate in Forest of Fallen Giants
Can be found sitting next to a trapdoor that locks when passing through it. He will mention to you that he was traveling with another fellow who got locked into the area ahead after the trapdoor was springed. He claims to still carry the ring the fellow traveller had with him. After escaping from the trap, talk to Pate again and after exhausting his dialogue, he will give you the White Sign Soapstone.

Pate can be summoned as a White Phantom for The Last Giant boss fight.

2: Creighton in Huntsman's Copse
Found locked away inside the room containing the Undead Lockaway bonfire. Will need the Undead Lockaway Key to reach it. When confronted, he will mention that he was traveling with a treasure hunter (Mild Mannered Pate) who attempted to leave him dead. Weighted down with anger, he vowed to exact his revenge and tried to set up a trap in Huntsman's Copse, only to get trapped himself. He will move on after you leave.

3: Creighton in Shaded Woods
Can be found near the Ruined Fork Road bonfire. After a startled welcome, he will reveal that Pate lives in Brightstone Cove Tseldora and will make sure he never lives another day.

4:Pate in Earthen Peak
From the 2nd bonfire location, proceed upstairs and then up the ladder. Head right towards the room with the spinning fan blade(stops if you burn the windmill) then drop down, and look for a room off that hallway with lots of vases. He will be leaning on the wall in this room below the stairs. If you summoned him and he lived through the Last Giant battle, he will give you Pate's Spear, Pate's Set and Ring of Thorns at this point, although it may require finding a quick treasure he cannot reach (I got it without finding the treasure before in NG+). The treasure he seeks can be reached by taking a right when exiting his room, then a right at the hallway intersection. Look for a destructible railing on your right, break it and then drop down. Claim the treasure chest which contains Great Heavy Soul Arrow, and then you can open the door from this ledge back into Pate's room, which was previously locked from the other side. He will congratulate you, then mention that someone is apparently looking to end his life.

5: Pate & Creighton in Brightstone Cove Tseldora
Right before the Chapel Threshold bonfire to your left, this is a cliffside you can descend off of to land infront of a house below. You will find Pate and Creighton the Wanderer fighting inside. The outcome of this depends on who you decide to assist. If you kill Pate, he will drop Pate's Spear and Ring of Thorns. Whichever one you aid, if you have done more damage than they did in the fight, will give you the Tseldora Den Key, which opens a locked door nearby with two chests inside containing 10 Rusted Coin in one chest and Engraved Gauntlets in the other (be careful as this has a trap). Once the trap sets off, you will hear Pate's voice say something like "Ooh, that'll leave a nice scar....".

Note: During the Pate / Creighton fight, you need to actively do most of the damage. Waiting for one of them to die (or doing too little damage), results in no reward apart from what you loot from the deceased.
