In responding to Thailand's Ministry of Foreign Affairs statement on 19 August, the Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation reaffirmed Cambodia’s strong determination to implement the agreed ceasefire, which both sides regard as a solid foundation for building lasting peace.

At the same time, Cambodia lodged an official protest against the actions of the Thai armed forces, including the installation of barbed wire, black nets, and tires along the border inside Cambodian territory, stressing that such actions undermine trust and urging Thailand to fully respect bilateral agreements and international obligations.
