How to change the wax guards on your Oticon hearing aids

This video will show you how to change the Oticon Pro Wax minifit wax guards (black and pink package) on your Oticon receiver-in-the-ear hearing aids.

Step 1: Remove to the dome from your hearing aid.

Step 2: Remove the black plastic tool from the plastic gray shell. You will see a side of the tool is empty and the other side has the new white filter on it.

Step 3: Push the empty side of the tool into the middle of the existing wax guard. Push it straight in and pull it straight out to remove the existing wax guard.

Step 4: Insert the new wax guard into the end of the receiver where you just removed the old wax guard. Make sure you push it straight in to the end of the receiver and then pull the tool straight out and the new wax guard should remain in place. You can discard the tool as you will not use it again.

Step 5: Put the dome back on the end of the receiver covering the wax guard. See our video on how to the change the dome if you need help with this step.
