As a staunch supporter of entrepreneurship in the Philippines, Go Negosyo joined the celebration of the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise Development (MSMED) Week 2016 at the Philippine Trade Training Center.

With the theme: “Developing Innovative and Resilient MSMEs,” a two-day event is being held at the PTTC to provide potential and existing MSMEs with capacity building programs that would enhance their entrepreneurial capability to start and sustain their respective businesses. More than 40 skills and managerial training sessions will be offered for free to provide building MSMEs, expose them to current business trends, and boost their skills to be resilient in order to ably compete in local and global markets.

Go Negosyo’s booth held mentoring sessions from July 1 to July 2. Mentors include: Jorge Noel Wieneke (President, Tokyo Tempura), Glenn Baticados (Executive Director, UPLB Center for Technology Transfer and Entrepreneurship), Cathal Hughes (VP for Origination, First Circle), Carlo Calimon (CEO, Mobkard) and Vix Madlangbayan (Go Negosyo Angelpreneur and Consultant). These mentors’ expertise revolve around Mindsetting, Product Development, Marketing, Franchising, Business Development, Spotting Business Opportunities, Agri Business, Social Entrepreneurship, Business Finance, SME Financing, Process Improvement, Business Strategy, Technopreneurship and Innovation, Business Planning, Community-based Enterprise Development and Supply Chain Management.

The event was opened by the keynote speaker DTI Secretary Ramon M. Lopez. Mon Lopez is the former executive director of Go Negosyo.
