How Modlin Fortess Defended Poland | Defending Europe | National Geographic UK

Modlin fortress is one of the largest 19th century fortresses in Poland. Situated on the Narew river, approximately 50 kilometres north of Warsaw, the fortress has seen many battles from the Napoleonic wars to WWI and WWII. Historian Alina Nowobilska explores the fortress today to relive its long history.
