Edward Ulm, BSc, CMT, SEP
Edward is an expert manual therapist and bodywork educator. Edward studied kinesiology at Arizona State University and has been a bodyworker or physical rehab therapist for 15 years. He is currently in the MS in Applied Neuroscience program at King's College London. He created the Science of Touch brand to better connect individuals and practitioners on understanding somatic memory and trauma in the body, and for championing the use of therapeutic touch as a crucial tool in the treatment of, and recovery from, posttraumatic stress. He has traveled the world and treated many different individuals with Neurobehavioral Reflex Therapies: a high-validation treatment that tracks the body’s natural reflexes to completion.
Ilene Smith, MA, SEP, CPC
Ilene is a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP) whose work helps clients resolve trauma and develop a deeper sense of personal safety and capacity for resilience and joy.
She is the author of Moving Beyond Trauma: The Roadmap to Healing from Your Past and Living with Ease and Vitality, an Amazon Bestseller, and her writing on psychology and wellness has appeared on Mind, Body Green, Spirituality and Health, PsychCentral, and Brooke Burke’s ModernMom. Ilene holds master’s degrees in Mental Health Counseling and Exercise Physiology and completed the three-year training program at the Somatic Experiencing Institute. She offers workshops on trauma healing online and worldwide. Ilene makes her home in Arizona and loves to travel, collect art, cycle, and practice yoga in her spare time.
Britt Frank, MSW, LSCSW, SEP
Britt is a clinician, educator, and trauma specialist. She is the author of the new book The Science of Stuck (Penguin Random House). Britt received her BA from Duke University and her MSW from the University of Kansas, where she later became an award-winning adjunct instructor. She is a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner and Level 3 trained in the Internal Family Systems therapeutic model. Britt was a primary therapist at a drug and alcohol treatment center, an inpatient therapist at a children’s psychiatric hospital, and now owns a private practice. Jordan Dann, MFA, LP, CIRT
Jordan is a dynamic psychoanalyst, author, and speaker. Jordan has advanced training as a Gestalt therapist, Somatic Experiencing Practitioner, and Imago Relationship Therapist. She began her career in the theater and as she began training actors in Linklater voice technique and physical theatre, she became increasingly interested in somatic memory and trauma, which is what led her to pursue a career transition to become a psychoanalyst. Her innovative approach helps individuals and couples become more embodied, expressive, and connected. She serves as an Associate Faculty member for the Gestalt Associates for Psychotherapy and runs supervision and workshops for emerging clinicians. She is a nationally certified and NYS licensed psychoanalyst in private practice in New York City.
