NHS Crisis: Health watchdog review 'represents stunning failure' says Streeting

The health secretary Wes Streeting has condemned England's health watchdog after a report found some hospitals had not been inspected for almost a decade, telling Sky News it showed a "stunning failure"

Mr Streeting has called for new leadership at the Care Quality Commission to turn it around.

He told Sky News the report showed a "stunning failure in a regulator that is meant to be able to give us a true and accurate reflection on quality of care and patient safety on care users safety".
