Depuis la signature en 1998 de l’accord du Vendredi Saint mettant fin à trente ans de Troubles, les artistes plasticiens contemporains ont abordé l’Irlande du Nord post-conflit de façons aussi diverses que variées. Dans son nouvel ouvrage lancé à Paris ce soir, le critique d’art et maître de conférences Declan Long examine le travail de ces artistes qui, à travers la vidéo, la photographie, la peinture, la sculpture, la performance ou l’installation, ont questionné les séquelles et témoigné d’inquiétudes persistantes pour l’Irlande du Nord. La présentation de cette publication sera suivie d’un échange avec le public.
Cet événement a eu lieu au Centre Culturel Irlandais le 9 avril 2018.
