3 states, 1 promise: Kejriwal's free electricity vow in Goa as other parties copy AAP playbook

Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal promised free electricity in Goa, if AAP is voted to power. Kejriwal promised up to 300 units of free electricity to the people of Goa, farmers. The AAP chief is on a two-day visit to Goa, which is slated to go to polls in Feb 2022. “AAP volunteers found out that people of Goa were stressed due to electricity. I got to know that Goa is a power surplus state & there is no deficit. People told us that the electricity in the state is very expensive. People also told us that they have received incorrect electricity bills. I have come here to announce four guarantees in the power sector. My guarantee means that AAP will fulfil it, this is not just a promise for polls,” he said. The AAP leader earlier made similar announcements in poll-bound Uttarakhand & Punjab. In Uttarakhand, Kejriwal promised 300 units of free electricity a month for all households. Last month, he had promised 300 units of free power to all domestic consumers in Punjab.
