Ingredients:
For the paste
2 tbsp Ghee
1 Onions, sliced
300 gms Coconut, grated
5 Dry Red Chillies
6 garlic cloves
1 Cinnamon stick
1 tbsp Cumin seeds
5 Peppercorns
5 cloves
1 tbsp Kasuri Methi
1 tsp Coriander seed powder
1 tbsp Tamarind
Water
2 tbsp Ghee
2 Onions, chopped
1 Tomato, chopped
Curry leaves
1/2 tbsp Turmeric powder
1 tbsp chili powder
1 tbsp Salt
750 gms Chicken
100 ml Coconut milk

For the tempering
1 sliced onion
2 tbsp oil
Curry leaves
Method of preparation:
For the paste
Heat a pan, add ghee, onion, allow it to cook on medium flame till they are translucent.
Add coconut, red chillies, garlic, cinnamon, cumin seeds, coriander seeds, peppercorns, cloves, kasuri methi, tamarind, mix well and switch off the flame after a minute.
Allow the mixture to cool down.
In a mixer jar, add the roasted masala, water and then grind it to a paste.
Paste for curry is ready.
Heat a wok, add ghee, curry leaves, onion, allow it to cook on high flame till they are translucent.
Add tomato, salt, turmeic, chili powder and give it a good mix.
Add chicken, give it a stir.
Cover and let it cook for 15 mins

In the meantime
In a pan, heat oil, saute the onions and curry leaves till they are brown.

After 15 mins, remove the cover and add coconut milk and the fried onions & curry leaves
Give a final stir

Chicken Kori Gassi is ready.
