మార్చి 31లోగా అంచనాలు సిద్ధం చేసి టెండర్లు పిలిచి మూసీ పునరుజ్జీవ ప్రాజెక్టు అభివృద్ధి పనులు ప్రారంభించాలన్న లక్ష్యంతో ప్రభుత్వం ముందుకు సాగుతోందని ముఖ్యమంత్రి శ్రీ ఎ. రేవంత్ రెడ్డి గారు తెలిపారు. హైదరాబాద్ మహానగర అభివృద్ధికి మూసీ నది పునరుజ్జీవం అత్యంత కీలకమని స్పష్టం చేశారు.
❇️ శాసనసభలో మూసీ పునరుజ్జీవం అంశంపై ప్రశ్నోత్తరాల సందర్భంగా ముఖ్యమంత్రి గారు కలుగజేసుకొని, మూసీ రివర్ఫ్రంట్ డెవలప్మెంట్కు సంబంధించిన విస్తృత లక్ష్యాలు, ఉద్దేశాలను సభ్యులకు వివరించారు.
❇️ అభివృద్ధి చెందిన నగరాలను అధ్యయనం చేసిన అనంతరం, మూసీలో శుద్ధమైన నీరు నిరంతరం ప్రవహించేలా సమగ్ర ప్రణాళికలు సిద్ధం చేస్తున్నామని తెలిపారు.
❇️ ప్రపంచ వ్యాప్తంగా నదీ పరివాహక ప్రాంతాల్లోనే మానవ నాగరికత అభివృద్ధి చెందిందని, హైదరాబాద్కు సంబంధించి నిజాం హయాంలోనే మూసీ తీరం వెంబడి గొప్ప అభివృద్ధి జరిగిందని గుర్తుచేశారు. 1908 వరదల అనంతరం హైదరాబాద్ నగరానికి శాశ్వత పరిష్కారంగా ఉస్మాన్ సాగర్, హిమాయత్ సాగర్ ప్రాజెక్టులు నిర్మించారని చెప్పారు.
❇️ మూసీ నది కాలుష్యం వల్ల పరివాహక ప్రాంతాల్లో పర్యావరణం, ప్రజల ఆరోగ్యం తీవ్రంగా ప్రభావితమవుతోందని, పరిశ్రమల మలినాలు, ఘన వ్యర్థాల సమస్యకు శాశ్వత పరిష్కారం చూపేలా చర్యలు తీసుకుంటున్నామని తెలిపారు. ఇందుకోసం కన్సల్టెన్సీలను నియమించి డీపీఆర్ సిద్ధం చేయాలని అధికారులను ఆదేశించామన్నారు.
❇️ బాపూ ఘాట్ వద్ద మూసా - ఈసా నదుల సంగమంలో ప్రపంచంలోనే ఎత్తైన మహాత్ముడి విగ్రహాన్ని నెలకొల్పే ప్రాంతం గాంధీ సరోవర్ను ‘V’ ఆకారంలో అభివృద్ధి చేయనున్నట్లు తెలిపారు. గోదావరి జలాలను తరలించి మూసీ సమస్యకు దీర్ఘకాలిక పరిష్కారం చూపాలని ప్రభుత్వం భావిస్తోందన్నారు. మొత్తం 20 టీఎంసీలలో 15 టీఎంసీలను తాగునీటి అవసరాలకు, 5 టీఎంసీలను మూసీలో శుద్ధమైన నీరు నిరంతరం ప్రవహించేందుకు వినియోగించనున్నట్లు చెప్పారు.
❇️ ఈ ప్రాజెక్టుకు ఆసియా అభివృద్ధి బ్యాంకు (ADB) 4 వేల కోట్ల రుణం ఇవ్వడానికి అంగీకరించిందని, కేంద్ర ప్రభుత్వం నుంచి కూడా అవసరమైన అనుమతులు లభించాయని ముఖ్యమంత్రి గారు తెలిపారు. గండిపేట నుంచి గౌరెల్లి వరకు 55 కిలోమీటర్ల ఎలివేటెడ్ కారిడార్ నిర్మాణం కూడా ప్రణాళికలో ఉందన్నారు.
❇️ మూసీ పరివాహక ప్రాంతాల్లో పేదలకు మెరుగైన నివాసాలు, మౌలిక సదుపాయాలు కల్పించడంతో పాటు, ఓల్డ్ సిటీ సహా నగరంలోని అన్ని ప్రాంతాలను సమానంగా అభివృద్ధి చేస్తామని తెలిపారు. మంచిరేవుల సమీపంలో ఉన్న పురాతన శివాలయాన్ని అభివృద్ధి చేయడంతో పాటు, మూసీ తీరం వెంబడి వివిధ ప్రాంతాల్లో గురుద్వారా, మసీదు, చర్చి నిర్మాణాల ద్వారా మత సామరస్యాన్ని ప్రతిబింబించేలా చర్యలు చేపడుతున్నామని వెల్లడించారు.
❇️ డీపీఆర్ సిద్ధమైన తర్వాత శాసనసభ ముందు పెడతామని, దానిపై ప్రజాప్రతినిధులు, నిపుణుల సలహాలు తీసుకుని ముందుకు వెళతామని చెప్పారు. హైదరాబాద్ను పర్యావరణ అనుకూలంగా, ప్రపంచస్థాయి నగరంగా తీర్చిదిద్దడమే ప్రభుత్వ లక్ష్యమని ముఖ్యమంత్రి గారు స్పష్టం చేశారు.
Hon'ble Chief Minister Sri A. Revanth Reddy stated that the government is finalising estimates, calling for tenders, and plans to commence Musi River rejuvenation and development works by March 31, highlighting its importance for Hyderabad’s sustainable growth.
🔹 During the Legislative Assembly question hour, he outlined the vision, objectives, and scope of the Musi Riverfront Development.
🔹 Based on studies of developed cities, comprehensive plans are being prepared to ensure continuous flow of clean and treated water in the Musi River.
🔹 Recalling history, he noted that civilisations thrive along rivers and that Hyderabad saw significant development along the Musi during the Nizam’s era. Osman Sagar and Himayat Sagar were built after the 1908 floods as long-term safeguards.
🔹 Pollution in the Musi has affected the environment and public health. Officials have been instructed to engage consultants and prepare a Detailed Project Report (DPR) to address industrial effluents and solid waste.
🔹 The Gandhi Sarovar at the Musa–Isa confluence near Bapu Ghat will be developed in a ‘V’ shape. The government is considering diverting Godavari waters. Of 20 TMC, 15 TMC will be for drinking water, 5 TMC to maintain river flow.
🔹 The Asian Development Bank has agreed to provide a ₹4,000 crore loan, with Central Government approvals secured. A 55-km elevated corridor from Gandipet to Gaurelli is also planned.
🔹 The project will improve housing and infrastructure for the poor and ensure balanced city-wide development, including the Old City. Steps are being taken to develop the ancient Shiva temple near Manchirevula and promote religious harmony through construction of a Gurudwara, mosque, and church along the riverbank.
🔹 Once the DPR is finalised, inputs from public representatives and experts will be incorporated. The Chief Minister reiterated that the goal is to make Hyderabad an environmentally sustainable, world-class city.
