According to the producers, the concert is a "metaphysical interaction between the current and the ancient."

Apollo is a god of the sun, and he is named after him. He is also in charge of music, dance, poetry, and all other forms of the creative arts.. So it's only fitting that Jeff Koons' sensory extravaganza on Hydra, Greece's sunny Greek island, features the image of Apollo as its centerpiece.

In a former slaughterhouse, the Deste Foundation, the home of mega-collector Dakis Joannou, presents "Jeff Koons: Apollo," an exhibition that organizers describe as a "metaphysical dialogue between the contemporary and ancient.

A motorized steel and bronze sun, Apollo Windspinner (2020–22), greets visitors as they exit the abattoir with its shining visage.

The rest of the exhibition is housed in a Pompeii-inspired frescoed gallery.

Apollo Kithara (2019–22) is the centerpiece of the exhibition, and it features a polychromed version of the god of light. Zara claims that the god's serpent is "so real it scares people" since it is animated. The music is a mashup of classical Greek and modern pop.

Nike Sneakers is an even more modern sacrifice to the sun deity, a pair of polychromed bronze sneakers (2020–22).

At long last, these meticulously reconstructed contemporary artifacts are complemented with an altar to the god of contemporary art, Marcel Duchamp.
