You might have seen information online talking about how toxic and harmful oils like canola oil, sunflower oil, and soybean oils are.

In this video, I share my personal experience, along with research-backed advice on what fats and oils you should use and what you should avoid.
Personally, I cook with Ghee, Butter, Tallow, Avocado oil, and occasionally Coconut oil.
I also use Extra-virgin olive oil as a drizzle on salads, and I add MCT oil to drinks.
For the most part, I stay away from using seed oils or eating foods that contain them.
The main reason for this is that they can be harmful to your health, especially when heated.
BUT…
Not all seed oils are the same!
Some seed oils can have health benefits.
Flax seed oil or Black seed oil (from black curcumin) can be good for you.
They do not contain the same industrial solvents, and are not as highly processed as something like Canola oil or Corn oil.
Another reason seed oils are being vilified is that they contain Omega 6.
Omega 6 has been linked to inflammation, and when it’s coming from foods like chips, French fries, and baked goods, it IS bad for you.
BUT…
Walnuts and Chicken breast also contain Omega 6. These foods are generally good for you, but still increase your intake of Omega 6.
The solution is to balance Omega 6 and Omega 3 (A 1-5 : 1 ratio), so it’s best to increase your intake of Omega 3.
The best sources of Omega 3 are cold water fatty fish (Wild salmon, Sardines, Herring, and Mackerel), Grass-fed meats, and Walnuts.
You can also use an algae-based Omega 3 supplement, or natural seeds like hemp seeds, flax seeds, or chia seeds.
Here is a list of the studies that I discuss in this video:

One point about buying oils. When you do buy it, make sure it’s high quality, stored in a glass bottle, and has a tint on the glass to protect it from the lights (Lights oxidize it).
The bottom line is:
→ Fried food will quicken your death.
→ Ultra-processed oils are bad for you.
→ Excess processing of oils is the problem.
→ High-heat oils that get oxidized are bad for you.
→ Avoiding seed oils is not a magic bullet to being healthy.
→ Ultra-processed foods often have added sugars, chemicals, preservatives, and dyes.
