This game does a lot right, and I think it's where it needs to be in its phase of development. There's still a bit of effort left to go in terms of adding polish, improving the core gameplay's 'feel' and balancing, and pushing the game a little further past the genre norms. But if the developers can pull that off, they've got a winner on their hands.
