Porous ceramic filter for casting‌ is a porous ceramic material made by impregnating a polyurethane foam plastic carrier and sintering at high temperature. Its three-dimensional interconnected mesh pore structure can efficiently intercept slag, oxide inclusions and micron-sized suspended particles in the molten metal, significantly improving the surface finish and mechanical properties of the casting.

The filter is based on zirconium oxide, silicon carbide or aluminum oxide, and has excellent high temperature resistance (silicon carbide is resistant to 1560℃, zirconium oxide is resistant to 1760℃). It is suitable for the purification of high-temperature melts such as cast steel, cast iron, aluminum alloy, and copper alloy. At the same time, it reduces the turbulence of the metal liquid through laminar flow conversion, reduces the impact corrosion and scrap rate of the casting cavity, and becomes the core filtration solution for improving the yield and production efficiency of precision castings.
