Happy National Ceiling Fan Day everyone!!!

On this special day, I've decided to showcase one of my most favorite KDK remote ceiling fans, the KY143! It is also one of my childhood fans. I got it at my local thrift store back in 2018, and it initially came with a faulty PCB as it was spinning rather slowly. Then last year I thrifted another KY143 (it was a 2006 model btw) there and I've thought of using its PCB as a donor board, and it turns out it works just fine!

It's located in the master bedroom of my main house. I replaced a 1st iteration Panasonic FM15A0 with it as I thought it looked rather fitting there.

The KY143 came out in 2004 and it marked the beginning of the Matsushita-Panasonic transition, as it debuted when Matsushita (National) was becoming Panasonic, so there are no National F-MY143s, only Panasonic ones for its twin brother. It was also Panasonic Corp's first 5-bladed ceiling fans, as previously they only had the 14ES as their sole remote fan which was 4-bladed. The 143 series ceiling fans proved to be a rather substantial release (same with the 153 series regulator fans that debuted one year prior), as many different companies such as Alpha, Elmark, etc. have tried to imitate its styling.

This particular KY143 is the first iteration model, you can tell because it has the KDK logos printed on its upper canopies. It was facelifted in 2007, and the 2007-09 models don't have the KDK logos printed on their canopies. Same goes for their twin brothers. In 2009, they were discontinued and replaced with the K14Y9.
