Bird & nest slow stitch & punch needle - Rose Robin

Описание к видео Bird & nest slow stitch & punch needle - Rose Robin

Here’s the start of my second bird and nest slow stitch piece for Roxy’s Journal of Stitchery Field Notes project inspired by Edith Holden and hosted by the fabulous Sarah ‪@roxycreationsbysarah‬ and Rachel ‪@roxycreations679‬ Be sure to check them out as they share wonderful slow stitching videos and host fantastic projects that anyone can take part in.

For this #roxysjournalofstitchery field notes bird and nest piece I will be honouring the beautiful pink Robin or pink breasted Robin. I am captivated by the nest which is covered in moss and lichen. I love wandering through the mossy lush forests in the dandenongs and admiring all the mosses, lichens and fungi. Tiny worlds within worlds.

So I couldn’t resist the idea of putting into action some of the wonderful tecture techniques I have built on after attending the art retreat with Fleur Woods at Green Door Studios earlier this year.

In this piece I will be creating a slow storch and fibre art wonderland with a moss, lichen and fungi border around a vintage or antique image of a rose Robin, it’s mate and it’s beautiful nest.

In this video I show you tutorial style how you can add punch needle fibre art to your slow stitch and create fabulous texture easily.

I hope you enjoy watching.
