How to master the Bimini Twist Knot: step by step guide

In this video, I show the steps to tie the strongest mono-to-mono knot, The Bimini twist.

Step-by-step instructions:
1. Create a loop in your main line, about a foot long.
2. Hold the loop end in your right hand and the tag end in your left hand.
3. Spin your right hand to twist the loop 15-25 times.
4. Wet the twisted line to prevent burning when tightening.
5. Secure the twisted loop around an object (e.g., armrest, foot, water bottle).
6. Hold the main line in your left hand and the tag end in your right hand.
7. Hold the tag end 90 degrees off your main line and slowly pull it down towards the loop until you feel resistance.
8. At the point of resistance, fold the tag end down on itself towards the loop.
9. Pinch where the tag end meets the loop, let go with your left hand, and wrap the tag end back around.
10. Pinch the two stems of your loop and the tag end together.
11. Tie a half hitch on each stem of the loop.
12. Tie five half hitches over both stems together, keeping tension with your left hand.
13. Cut the tag end close to the knot.
