Reverse Rig 2.0! | Weedless Neko X Ned Rig!

Описание к видео Reverse Rig 2.0! | Weedless Neko X Ned Rig!

Hello, everyone! Today, we're doing something a little different. A few years ago, the guys at Wired2Fish published what they called a "reverse rig". I'm not sure if they were the first to rig baits like this, but they were the first ones that I saw to do it - so I'm giving them full credit. It's sort of like a weedless neko rig crossed with a ned rig. The original version used nail weights inserted into the tail & an EWG style hook. After playing with the reverse rig for a while, I came up with a modified version "Reverse Rig 2.0". In 2.0, I'm superglueing tungsten nail weights into the TRD or Big TRD, so they can't fly out on the cast or with a hooked fish thrashing around. The EWG hook worked OK, but I found that I did better with Neko-style hook. To keep the slippery elastic baits secured near the hook eye, I added a fluoro-loop keeper near the hook eye. This keeps the bait from getting balled up in the hook gap on the hookset & you get near 100% hook-up ratios. Once a fish is hooked, the bait slides up the line which gives the fish zero leverage to throw the hook and consequently your landing ratio is also excellent. It really is a great rig for all kinds of finesse situations are works wonders on largemouth & smallmouth bass. So, come along with me, as I show you my version of the reverse rig!
