The Shadows - Apache (Cover Version by Punketronic)

Greetings Earthlings,

We have been going through a Surf Rock phase which started with our song Arizona Desert Riders, which was based on a surf rock / The Shadows sound. Here, we play tribute to The Shadows, with our version of their classic, Apache. We have given it the Punketronic Cinematic treatment so it's not quite the same. Spring reverb and delay turned up to 10!

We recorded this live in a rehearsal room using our stage equipment, which these days comprises modelling amps etc.
Drums are via Roger, the iPad.
Andy played his Japanese Fender Squier Jazz Bass through a Tech 21 SansAmp Bass Driver programmable DI.
Charlie played my Airline Jetson '59 3P DLX through a Strymon Iridium and a bunch of stomp box pedals, using his Hank Marvin dual delay settings.
I played Charlies Fender Telecaster through a Digitech RP1000
Tim played a Korg Triton Extreme

This was all plugged into our Mackie DL16S Wireless Digital Mixer. The recordings were via a usb connection to a laptop running Cubase. The recordings were volume balanced and a little EQ added for the video.
