Gibson Burstbuckers Pro vs Seymour Duncan Pearly Gates

Описание к видео Gibson Burstbuckers Pro vs Seymour Duncan Pearly Gates

Finally swapped out my stock Gibson Les Paul Standard 2013 Burstbuckers Pro for SD Pearly Gates.

I found the stock neck pickup too muddy for my taste. It's good for jazzy stuff but gets muddy if you throw in some overdrive and distortion.

I've been eyeing the SD Pearly Gates for a while now and finally gave in. The neck pickup is a huge upgrade and isn't muddy and the bridge has clarity and that growl. The stock bridge pickup, however, sounds really good too.

I've recorded with the same guitar, same string height and pickup height, same amp settings and mic placement.
I'm using a Boss Katana 50 with a Shure SM57 just slightly off axis.
I've tried to keep the playing simple and as close to each other as possible. As you can see, I recorded the parts on different days, with different clothes.
The first one shows the stock Gibson BB Pro, while the second show the SD PGs. The T-shirt I'm wearing which has the word "church" on it will be the PGs, because you know, church...Pearly Gates...hahaha

BB Clean 0:08, 2:33
PG Clean 1:12, 3:03
BB Crunch 3:43, 6:27, 7:19
PG Crunch 4:44, 6:51, 9:16
