This lecture presents an attempt to deconstructively reinterpret the philosophical concepts of Zhuangzi in a contemporary context.
Through three central questions—justice, fairness, and the ethics of existence—it explores how artificial norms and discriminatory consciousness constrain human freedom and justify violent orders.
Drawing on Zhuangzi’s ideas of wu wei (non-action) and xu xin (empty heart), it seeks to break existing frameworks and envision the possibility of new ethical practices through genuine relationships with the Other, linking this to Paul’s messianic justice.
Ultimately, the text emphasizes an ethics of “necessity”—that which cannot be defined yet cannot be avoided—and aims toward a life of coexistence and hospitality that transcends competition and discrimination.
