Dr. Kormeili: Hi, I'm Dr. Kormeili and I'm here with the fabulous Dr. Rackett, and we're taking care of his wrinkles here, here, and here today with some Dysport.

Dr. Rackett: So, both Botox and Dysport are very similar. They're are FDA approved for what's called dynamic wrinkles, which are wrinkles on your face that happen for movement, which I get a lot of especially around my eyes that I've been noticing coming on in the past years just from kind of smiling and squinting. Those lines have just become more etched in, and then also frown lines for making you frown...you get the lines sort of right here.

Dr. Kormeili: You never frown. It's very nice.

Dr. Rackett: I try not to frown. And then from raising up and looking surprised at all my patients all day long and saying they're not wearing sunscreen. So the raising-up surprise lines across here, the Dysport or Botox will work for those as well, too. So Dr. Kormeili is going to start with that.

Dr. Kormeili: You're ready?

Dr. Rackett: Ready.

Dr. Kormeili: Okay. So the first thing we want to do is see where the expression lines on the patient are. Some we have from Dr Rackett were big. Very Good. Go ahead and relax. Doing okay?

Dr. Rackett: Doing great. It's a few little injections underneath the skin which I can't even say I really even felt that because the needle's so tiny. And Dr. Kormeili's technique is very good. What we tell the patient is to just stay upright for the next three hours after the procedure and just not rub or touch the area.

Dr. Kormeili: Now, when we treat a male patient, what we want to do is make sure that we don't change the anatomy of the face to feminize the face. And so we do it in a way that we just relax the circular muscle that goes around the eye without elevating the eyebrow because that obviously looks more feminine. So, I'm going to do the other side and we're going to match it and go from there.

Dr. Rackett: Yeah. That's a good point. I'm always joking, don't arch my eyebrows.

Dr. Kormeili: Not a chance. Are you okay? Make a smile. So, for the treatment of the forehead, we also want to make sure we don't drop the eyebrow, and some patients use their forehead actually to keep the eyes open. So, we want to make sure that we're especially sensitive to this and we get it in a way that also doesn't feminize the face because we don't want to cause an arching of the eyebrow in a male patient. So, we start off having Dr. Rackett push his forehead all the way up. Okay. Beautiful. Relax. Perfect. You want to just follow the expression lines and custom make it so that his expression lines are treated wherever they are on his forehead as he uses his muscles to make expressions.

Dr. Rackett: So, I'm getting these little injections and then each little area leaves a little bump in the skin and that bump maybe lasts for like 10 minutes or so. So it truly is a no downtime procedure because by the time you get to your next destination after leaving the office, everything's sort of gone back to normal.
