On Friday, Education Minister Don Morgan and representatives from Saskatchewan Polytechnic gathered at the school’s Early Childhood Education Demonstration Centre to celebrate Early Childhood Educator Appreciation Day. Brandy Pilon, an early childhood educator and assistant director at the centre, said the work she and her colleagues do are critical to a child’s development, but low wages make it difficult to retain the staff.
