Shasta USA Z Scale layout at Carnforth April 2024

Seen in public for the first time since 2019 My Southern Pacific /Union Pacific Z scale layout introduced a whole new public to the incredible detail and smooth running of modern American Z

Based on the Sacramento River Canyon, scene of one of the USA's biggest enviromental disasters when a derailment at Ccantara Loop tipped a tanker full of weedkiller into the Sacramento river. The layout faithfully reproduces the massive barrier erected on the inside of the curve to prevent it ever happening again

The layout is just 10 foot long with a custom lighting rig, Flight cases for each baseboard and Class 2 fire retardant drapes
