Описание к видео 🎯 The Sniper Who Killed a General From 2 Miles and Vanished Into Legend 🔫🏔️

Normandy, June 1944. German General Dietrich von Choltitz stood on a hill, planning a counterattack against the Allies. At 3,540 meters, Canadian sniper Corporal Francis Pegahmagabow lay in mud for three days, waiting for this moment. Wind 15 mph, temperature dropping, bullet flight time 8 seconds. He took one final breath. The shot echoed across the valley. The bullet pierced the general's skull with surgical precision. The German offensive collapsed without its commander. Pegahmagabow vanished into the forest, leaving only a shell casing. Germans offered a $50,000 reward (equivalent to $800,000 today) for the Ghost. They never found him. After the war, he returned to his Canadian reservation, never speaking of his 378 confirmed kills. He died in 1952, the Allies' deadliest sniper. His record remained classified for 40 years.
