The Rastriya Swatantra Party, under which Shah is running, recently became Nepal’s fourth largest political force, securing 21 seats in the dissolved House of Representatives within a year of its formation. Shah’s campaign highlights a shift in Nepali politics, where a former artist and local leader is now vying for the country’s top executive post, attracting widespread media attention and public interest.
