The year 2022 was colored for me by war and violence against innocent civilians. The invasion of Ukraine by Russia brought the war, which is also an attack on our democratic values, very close.
John Lennon's song "Imagine" gives me hope to face the future with some confidence.
Let's keep believing in the dream that one day there will be peace and happiness for all. And let's enter the new year with respect for each other and for our earth.

Het jaar 2022 werd voor mij gekleurd door oorlog en geweld tegen onschuldige burgers. Door de invasie van Oekraine door Rusland kwam de oorlog, die tevens een aanval is op onze democratische waarden heel dichtbij.
Het lied "Imagine" van John Lennon geeft mij hoop om de toekomst met enig vertrouwen tegemoet te zien.
Laten we blijven geloven in de droom dat er ooit vrede en geluk voor allen zal zijn. En laten we met respect voor elkaar en voor onze aarde het nieuwe jaar ingaan.
Ik wens jullie allen een vredig Kerstfeest en toekomst.
