As for the most recent Battlefield 2042 cinematic trailer I'm not privy to any insider information so all speculation comes from the trailer and information mentioned by others. I'm a bit skeptical of the changes to Conquest simply because they seemed to only focus or showing specific parts of maps so it's hard to gauge how big it really will be or if there is a really detail center area and a bunch of sparse surrounding areas that while still playable areas are minor sectors/capture points, nothing really to note so not a lot of fighting happens there and the focus/chokepoints are the center areas. I guess we'll have a better idea of the overall game based on the next trailer which is supposed to be the gameplay trailer

Probably one of the larger concerns most should have is how they are going to differentiate friend from foe because in the trailer the player models for both sides seemed pretty similar and with even more players on screen there is going to be even more icon overlap ( friendly player icons overlap enemies sometimes making it confusing ).

One odd thing I'd like to note from the trailer. Regarding that Dawnbreaker moment scene with all the infantry on the roof and the little bird shooting them. Did all those infantry players spawn up there? Like spawning on that objective puts them on the roof or could there be, dare I say it, elevators? Just curious if we are going to get magic elevators again :P

Specialist thing is meh, it sounds like they wanted to put a spin on what is basically "loadouts" under a class. There is a few questions I have regarding it though. Since all classes can all use the same weapons there is a large possibility of a "most optimized" or best all around class/specialist/weapon. Are there limits or can literally everyone spawn as it? If so wouldn't that be kind of weird? I mean in BF3 everyone played as medic/assault and in BF4 after the SRAW nerf was basically medic/assault so it's not uncommon with Battlefield games for everyone to play as one class I'm just wondering if forced variety would be a good thing. I could be overthinking that issue ( 128 players all playing the same class/specialist/weapon ).

Wingsuit thing is kind of dumb because unless I can kill another player that is using a parachute midair by flying through them with a wingsuit I don't really see the appeal. I guess it could just be one of the tacked on gimmicks this time, there are a few this time.

Still too many unknowns for vehicle systems and spawns related to that. The trailer showed the pilot bailing and having a flight suit on so does that mean they spawned into the plane or does their player model change when they get in it? Kind of pointless speculation at this point I'm just skating around the issue that might be a point spending resource system for assets like tanks and aircraft ( think SWBF2 ) instead of them being tied to objectives and being map spawns.

I still don't know what the unknown variable is for how they managed to increase the player count to 128 without it breaking. Worst case scenario is every player in the server on one objective, so a PC and next gen consoles having to render 128 players all at once. Either they made some breakthrough with updates to the Frostbite engine or we are going to see some messed up occlusion culling issues ( teleporting player models, invisible players, etc. ).

As for the Frostbite engine, I heard it's the "latest version" but I believe that to be technically false since they started developing the game three years ago this would be the latest version of the Frostbite engine from three years ago ;) Last I heard the Frostbite development team released a new version of the engine twice a year and it was up to the game development studios on which version they actually used.

These are some of the moments while playing when I happen to record what triggered someone to make hackusations, rage or say something funny in chat.
