Ferry to CAPRI, Funicular, Italo 9948 Naples to FLORENCE Review, Renascentia in Florence & PIZZA!

Honeymoon Day 8!

We woke up bright and early, walked alll the way to the Sorrento port, bought last min tickets on the SNAV cuz they cancelled ours due to 'weather' but were still running ferries anyway. It's a huuuge ferry, free seating, but I was feeling seasick :( Reached in about 30 min i think and then we explored Capri for a few hours!
Found the ticket office to take the Funicular (basically a tram going uphill) to Capri town! Remember to just board the first one you see cos they get full SO QUICK! Tons of branded shops, and we were so UNLUCKY to stumble upon the G7. Good thing was there were soooo many police, but BAD that they CLOSED EVERY ROAD POSSIBLE. We walked through many alleys trying to get to viewpoints, and kept getting to dead ends :( Google maps wasnt super helpful... Anyway we ended up finding the paid viewpoint (Giardini di Augusto) - paid 2.50 Euros per person - worth it! Nice garden, serene view points :) Also, PLS GO TO THIS GELATO AND PASTRY SHOP. THE FRESH CONES and quality gelato/pastries served up by Italian grannies are to DIE FOR (Gelataria Buonocore Capri). Next time if we have more time, we will go to Anacapri too!

Then we went back down to catch our ferry back to Sorrento, took a private transfer to Napoli Centrale (train station), where we boarded Italo 9948 fast train to Florence! 3h! But of course, we booked early and splurged on PRIMA class - SO WORTH IT. Again, we chose seats close to the luggage rack and toilets, and it was quiet in the cabin, and had some snacks and drinks as well.

Florence train station is sketch... so we took an Uber to our hotel (found on booking.com) super recommend! Great location, walking distance to everything, and its nice and modern! Perfect for a couple. Renascentia in Florence (3 Via dei Cimatori, Firenze, Italy, 50122). Reasonable too, for Florence town center (and its not an airbnb haha).

Walked to dinner at a super popular local spot selling pizza (Il Pizzaiuolo) - and we highly recommend it! Affordable (take note cover charge 2Euro each), but nice homey style. Gets super crowded... so come early or be prepared to just queue for 1 hour! We waited about 30 min...
