Rollibot RolliCool portable Air Conditioner Product Review

This is my Rollibot RolliCool Portable Air Conditioner Product Review.

Overall the RolliCOol was an impressive portable unit. It compares favorably with an LG portable unit at the same price ($399.99) and included full WiFi app controls that the LG did not. To be FAIR, the LG was about 4 months old (but had a fresh filter) but the ROlliCool was a little colder and a LOT quieter.

The portable unit includes a window kit that would fit windows up to ALMOST 48". Anything larger than that would require some type of modification. I would recommend using a few small strips of weather stripping (I got mine from a big-box retailer for $3.99 or so but only needed a few inches of the entire roll). That is to cover a tiny reveal from the window kit. You could also use some tape if you are not picky.

It does include a remote control, but why would you even use it when you have an awesome app that works over the internet?
The Rollicool app allows me to control my portable unit from work, or anywhere with a data connection (like my 4G while driving or work WiFi). The app was incredibly responsive, easy to set up, and works over Bluetooth OR WiFi. One thing to note is that WiFi is REQUIRED to set up the app, even if you are only using the Bluetooth feature.

Overall The Rollibot RolliCool Portable Air Conditioner is a great deal for a portable air conditioner style unit. It is more expensive the window units at similar BTU but you have a much more flexible unit that is WAY easier to move around. It has caster wheels and can literally cool almost anything. I have literally thought about using it as a camping AC (yeah that's pretty city-boy, I'm aware).

Overall this AC is a bargain considering the price point of competing portable AC units. 2 Thumbs UP from the GadgetGuide!
