100 years after the armistice of the Great War, the AFS project "Engaging for Peace in Europe" aims to provide methods and space for high school students to discuss the dangers threatening living together and to concretely build solutions capable of maintaining peace in Europe today.

What is the Forum Engaging for Peace in Europe?
180 high school students and teachers from France and Germany and more than 120 volunteers participated in workshops on active European citizenship in Strasbourg from 9 to 11 November 2018.

What happens next?
High school students are supported until the end of the 2018-2019 school year by volunteer mentors in the construction and implementation of their project! Creating a song about racism and discrimination, organizing an event with homeless people around their high school, organizing a cleanwalk in their city: these are just a few examples of the projects that these active citizens are developing to have a positive impact on the world.
