Great White Sharks are natural born predators and need the hunt. The do not like to be fed from humans and refuse to eat a lot of their time in captivity. This leads to starvation and eventual death. Most aquariums eventually release the Great White Sharks before any further harm occurs. Another reason Great White Sharks cannot live in captivity is the expense! It would be very expensive for an aquarium to capture, transport and feed the Great White Shark. The Great White Sharks are better off staying in the open ocean where they belong.
