Ratan Tata, Tata Sons' Chairman Emeritus, passed away on October 9 in Mumbai at the age of 86. Known for his contributions to industry and his compassion for animals, especially dogs, Tata’s legacy of kindness is evident at Bombay House, the Tata Group's headquarters. In 2018, Tata demonstrated this compassion by canceling a trip to London to receive a lifetime achievement award from Prince Charles after his dog fell critically ill. His close friend Suhel Seth shared the story, with King Charles later expressing admiration for Tata’s decision, saying, "That’s the man Ratan is."
