Sri Lalitha Trishatee Stotram affiliates Devi Lalitaambika (Lalita) which is an excerpt from Brahmanda Purana depicting a conversation between Sri Hayagreeva and Sage Agastya Mahamuni. Fifteen Beejaksharas [Ka, Ae, Ee, La, Hrim, Ha, Sa, Ka, Ha, La, Hrim, Sa, Ka, La, Hrim] form the core of the Stotram consisting of 300 names of Devi Lalitha. It is said to activate Moolaadhaara Chakras and Nadi points in the body of the person chanting, if done properly. On performing an absolute Saadhana (devout repeated chanting) of the Stotram it is said to give ultimate wisdom and enlightenment to the soul of the Saadhaka (one who performs Saadhana).

The Stotram begins with a Dhyaana Shloka praising Devi Lalita as the one who is merciful, is red in colour and beholds absolute beauty for time immemorial, holds a bow made of sugarcane and arrows that is said to bring prosperity. A pattern of addressing Devi with a Beejakshara and later reciting her names focused around that Beejakshara can be observed across the stotram. Each set of names begins describing Devi Lalitha’s eternal beauty and her eternal & absolute knowledge. It terms her as someone ever forgiving, remover of sins and giver of unmatched wealth. She is the one combining the energies of Lord Brahma, Vishnu and Eeshwara, the true form of Vedas and Vedantha, and the ultimate wisdom every person desires to attain.

Devi Lalita is thus the Supreme Goddess who is ever graceful, merciful and the true form of absolute wisdom. Anyone chanting this stotram with devotion is said to attain divine abode and be blessed by her.
