Introduction to X-Ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy (XPS)

The Materials Characterization Lab: Technique XPS
This technique is based on the Photoelectric Effect. When a material is irradiated with x-rays, photoelectrons are subsequently ejected from atoms in the near surface.
